This week has been uneventful. Not to say that nothing had happened because a lot had happened. Working with students is never boring and I love it that way. However, everything has been peaceful throughout the last two weeks…

Grad Student. Teacher. Author. Nerd. It’s a good thing I always have a weekend to myself because I would have broken down a long time ago. Well…actually I did suffer a fatigue snap during my first year in China but, again, thank God for weekends/days off. Seriously, I do need my day of unplugging and winding down. Now! On to some good news…
A new year means new projects and challenges for my artistic friends and me; this year is no different. In addition to that, we have been making it more of a practice for all of us to plan ahead and much more meticulously. That last part was meant for me because I have had moments where I didn’t plan for something that almost always led to a mishap and a headache. So, I downloaded a Project Management program and I prayed that would be enough. Now…for the wickedly delightful…
Holy crap…the last two week has been amazing and the paths that are opening up to me has made me smile from ear to ear. It’s amazing where you can find joy when you’re looking for it. Alas, I don’t want to hold all the good news to myself. Allow me to share it with you.
Since the 3rd of this month, I have been working on the first installment of my LGBTQ+ Crimeverse series. The details of the series I’m still keeping to myself as I’m still ironing out all the logistics around the series. You know, how many series are going to take up this universe, the models, the photographers, ghostwriters (if necessary), among other things. But, right now, I’m grinning ear-to-ear.
This week was beyond hectic for my colleagues and me. All of us spent the week reviewing everything for our students’ finals next week. Most of us have more than two grades to teach and, in turn, review (I had three, but my Twelfth Grader graduated). That alone is enough to drain us mentally. But, alas, I’m not just a teacher.
