I don’t have much of the update/blog post as I am just doing the same thing as always. Writing, teaching, rinse, repeat. It’s a comfortable process for me, but I’m never really comfortable with being comfortable. Lucky for me, I going to have a swift change to my routine come next month.
Well, it’s finally here. Back at school, this time, I’m a homeroom teacher. However, I must say, the first two days as a homeroom teacher as been pure chaos for numerous reasons. But, first, a confession. Nothing bad, just a reason behind my decision of becoming a homeroom teacher.
There is so much work that I have completed for my pending release of my SS Project and my teaching responsibilities is actually stabilizing it now that the summer vacation is coming to an end. So, I go back to having two days off a week and I think I can get all of this short stories typed up and send off to editors before the end of the month. But that’s a story for another time. Right now, I want to get into the second part of what I happened to me.
So, for Pride Month, I decided to spend every Friday creating a Top 10 List of anything LGBTQ+ that I can think of at that moment. Just something to change the pace and make everyone smile. (For the previous list, click here and here) This week, I would like to tell you guys the ten favorite icons for the LGBTQ+ community. Just so you know…I don’t have it in a particular order because that’s too hard. ha ha!

I’ve been in a bit of emotional slump, lately. One of my idols, Stan Lee, gained his wings and left the world on November 12, 2018. And, as a comic nerd, I joined my brother in sobbing it out (yes, I cried). You may ask me why since I didn’t actually know the man but try to understand that everything the man did shaped the way I think and writer. Actually, if I’m being honest, his method of writing shaped one of my core rule when it comes down to the art form: themes.
