I’ve never been a fan of EA. Much like Konami, I’ve always been against their business practices and reactions to public and private opinion. However, I try to remain a level head and a sound mind when watching their press conferences. Every year, they don’t completely impress me but leave me a little smile on my face. This year was no difference but, MY GOD, it was a mess.
Gaming
So, really quick!! In response to E3 aka Gamer’s Heaven, I will be doing reviews on the eight press conferences, or showcases, as they appear on YouTube. I will be talking about my opinions and viewpoints on each one before grading them. YouTube has released the timeslots as followed:
- Monday, June 11, 2018, 6 pm PC Gaming Show
- Monday, June 11, 2018, 9 pm Sony Press Conference
- Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 12 pm Nintendo Treehouse
One sidenote, I will not be reviewing the PC Gaming Show because I’m not a PC Gamer so I won’t be able to understand and appreciate the information being presented to me. Wednesday and Thursday will have me talking about the games that I heard about and excited for. I hope you all like what I said and enjoy my thoughts on 2018 E3.
This is going to be the wicked weekend for gamers of all works of life. We are going to be greeted by another year of gaming and entertainment galore in the form of Electronic Entertainment Expo, or simply E3. Now, technically, the convention starts on the twelve of June, but the Press Conferences comes first and it’s really what I care about. But, that’s not the only thing that I’m going to be excited about.

I’ve never played a Strider game, before. I know. I know. BUT! Better late than never, right? At least, I played him in the Marvel vs Capcom series. Haha! Well, at least, I managed to get this game through my PlayStation Plus account for soooo cheap. So cheap in fact that I ended up getting another game; I think I bought like three games for twenty dollars. But, enough of that, let me praise this game.

I don’t know about you but I sometimes miss the old school JRPGs (Japanese RPG). Don’t get me wrong, I love Skyrim, Dragon Age and the many MANY Western RPGs on my completed list but JRPGs are my true pleasures in the RPG genre. A character-driven storyline that removes all the smoke and mirror from the gameplay. That’s why I love Asdivine Hearts so much.

When the cyberpunk genre of science fiction is intertwined in the realm of video games, the product usually comes out great. Deus EX, Fear Effect, and Final Fantasy VII are the examples of the perfect balance between the two completely different realms. Now, we can add another game to that list: Watch Dogs.
Name: Rayman Legends
Platform: Varies (Played it on the PlayStation 4)
Style: Platform

Platformers are a genre that can grow stall in my mind if I’m encountering the same atmosphere in each game of that area. Rayman Legends is NOT one of those games. This is another game I got for free with my Playstation Plus membership, but I would have happily paid full price because it was absolutely marvelous game. What makes it so marvelous? Well, …let’s start with the level design.
I have the most annoying unmotivating wanker I have ever encounter…he’s my boss. He’s quick to disregard accomplishments and tear down people in an attempt to “make them better”. Not everybody is a fan of this bloke and, to be honest, neither am I. It’s really bad, too, because I never found someone sooo annoying in a professional setting. Luckily, for me, I have waaay more people in my life – especially my gaming buddies.

The Lego franchise has always been adorable and quirky in appearance. It can take a serious series like Harry Potter and make it so cute and special. And this game has got to be the cutest of them all…at least, from what I’ve played so far.
Name: Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Final Fantasy is my all-time favorite franchise. The stories. The characters. The themes. EVERYTHING about that franchise is what I aspire to be in a writer. Of course, there have been some games that were a swing and a hit but the overall franchise has a spectacular following/results and I’m always looking forward to what they have in store for us. This time is no different.
