This has been the best Spring Festival for me. I got to see my friends again and it was in the most beautiful city I’ve seen to date. Sanya is something of a marvel. It was my first beach resort and the heat was welcoming. Everything about this holiday has formed into a memory that I can kiss up to God in thanks. So, where do I begin?

For two years, I was not allowed to travel because of COVID-19. The first year was, of course, for the best and I wasn’t in a position to be traveling around the world. Moreover, I wasn’t too comfortable with the idea of traveling in the “new world” where simply breathing could change the trajectory of my health. The following year was no better as it was followed by so much fear, prejudice, and paranoia that it was clearly not the best idea to go anywhere. Now…this is the year I get to travel.
Well, now that I’m done with the BTP (Behind The Pen) segment of my primary release of my Short Story Project, I can get back to my regularly scheduled blogging. I am glad to do this, too, because so many things have changed throughout my life. Not just mine, either; my friends were dealing with the same thing…
Sending holiday joy and love to all of you!!! I pray that you have a wonderful time with your family and mates. As for me, I will be doing the same thing and taking the day off of writing and planning to give them my undivided attention. It’s either that or my brother and my best mates are not going to let me live it down.
I have to say…Phase Two is going pretty smooth. Much smoother than Phase One, let me tell you. However, I wanted to tell you that everybody is already well aware of my path of my Short Story project so I’m not going to talk about it anymore until the first story is released. Besides, I do have other projects that I’m working on now that I got my short stories written.
There is so much work that I have completed for my pending release of my SS Project and my teaching responsibilities is actually stabilizing it now that the summer vacation is coming to an end. So, I go back to having two days off a week and I think I can get all of this short stories typed up and send off to editors before the end of the month. But that’s a story for another time. Right now, I want to get into the second part of what I happened to me.
I had a good cry, as of recently. It was a momentary break that was needed. I was told that I was misinformed about my status a man. Moreover, I was enlightened by the fact that I deserve to have a cry every now and again because of my “unique” status as an “outsider waving through a window”. I had my friend, Levana and Bernard, to remind me of that.
I’m two stories away from completing the drafts of the 45 short stories. I still have to type them all up before declaring Phase 1 being complete. Nonetheless, I know what’s going to be happen for me is going to be similar to that of a wicked whirlwind. But, right now, I’m just staring into the eye of the hurricane with a smile on my face. I can’t wait to take it on.
So, for Pride Month, I decided to spend every Friday creating a Top 10 List of anything LGBTQ+ that I can think of at that moment. Just something to change the pace and make everyone smile. (For the previous list, click here, here, and here). This week, I would like to tell you guys where I plan on going for Pride in the following years. I won’t be going alone and plan on going to them all, eventually. Just so you know…I don’t have it in a particular order because that’s too hard. ha ha!

Now, please, don’t forget to follow me on my social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, and Goodreads) which are on the right side of my web page. Also, I do love hearing suggestions of what books to read outside of my norm (Science fiction and fantasy) as I am a part of the Goodreads’ reading challenge for 2020. My goal is to read 100 books this year and I’m already at 77. Probably end up reading 120 before the year is out.
