This week has been incredibly slow due to me looking for a job, waiting for an interview call while working through the last Heroes story for my Dimensions series. Winter is always a slow season for merchandiser because clients don’t need the assistance of us…at least, not until the spring. So, I have to look for an additional job. This is something I’m kinda not used to because I like having one job which won’t be the case when spring rolls around thus making it a little harder to manage my writing schedule. Something I’m just going to have to work through, I guess.

“Patience is a virtue, Justin. Not everything is going to come easily to you; sometimes you’ll have to work harder than normal to perfect certain skills.”
You have no idea how many times I have heard that statement, albeit in many different forms. It has been said to be when I was learning a particularly unique skill in my eyes i.e. a new physical feat, such as a fighting style (Tae Kwon Do was easier for me than Karate, if you could believe it), it takes me a slightly longer time to master it. But not by much, really.
The Wall Scroll program is officially underway, and I couldn’t be prouder. I initially designed the program to allow my best mate’s company (Nexus Gaming Alliance) to connect with numerous artist around the country – and maybe the world – and assist with their journey for social and professional exposure.
November is starting to be a wickedly splendid whirlwind of projects and stories that need, or will, require my attention. A small portion of my friends are asking for my assistance on their projects and it leaves me in very concerning position. It’s not that I don’t want to help them, it’s that I want to dive into another project with someone that doesn’t share the same level of ambition as me. Some of them I would be willing to do in a heartbeat but others I’m not too sure about. I’m going to have to pray on it and ask the Lord to bestow on me the wisdom to choose properly.
First thing first, anybody who has admiration for the horror movie genre and/or Stephen King should different go see IT. The movie is a remake of the American-Canadian supernatural horror drama miniseries that aired on ABC in 1990. And I must say this version is ten times better than the original; this is no small feat.
This week has been pretty crazed with talking about my book’s (Dimensions: The College Years) release to various entities and individuals. Combined that with the overwhelming support and love from my family and friends, you could imagine how lifted my heart became in such a short period of time. Though the book is growing at a steady rate for an amateur author, I should admit something: I’m not particularly satisfied with the stats of the first installment in the Dimensions series.
So, my first book (Dimensions: The College Years) was released to the public via Amazon. The process took nearly eight months to complete due to a wide variety of reasons but, nonetheless, I am overwhelmed with pride and joy that I have finally had a completed project under my belt thus effectively beginning my career path of a writer. Or the author, whichever one you prefer to use.
