This is actually a funny story. I picked this story because I got to pick two free Audible Originals and the summary was interesting enough. However, the vocabulary, plotline and, the overall tone seemed to feel “elementary” to me. Looking into it, you know, after finishing the book, I realized why I felt that. I was advised by a circle of friends that I need to start reading LGBTQ+ literature more frequently as a form of research since I will be release related content outside of my crime series. Then, funny enough, another circle of friends suggested reading erotica so I can work out the romance/sex scenes a little better.
